On April 13-14, ºÚÁϳԹÏÍøjoined together to celebrate the leadership of Andrew and Jeanna Westmoreland during the 8th annual ºÚÁϳԹÏÍøBig Give. In honor of 15 years of servant leadership, 1,439 alumni, staff, faculty, students and friends, contributed $235,693 to endowed scholarships established by the Westmorelands in each of Samford’s academic schools.

Samford’s faculty and staff led the charge with nearly 60 percent of employees pledging their support for students and programs. The ºÚÁϳԹÏÍøBlack Alumni Association surpassed its campaign goal, generating $25,182 for scholarships and initiatives for underrepresented students.

In addition to joining fun gift challenges and giveaways, ºÚÁϳԹÏÍøstudents shattered their campaign giving goal for the #JustGiveFive challenge. Created by alumni Chase Ezell ’88 and Keith Kirkland ’88, the challenge invited students to make a $5 gift to the scholarship of their choice. More than 160 students participated in raising $1,502 for scholarships.
