ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø Theatre will present Rodgers and Hammerstein's Cinderella May 1-4.

The musical version of the enduring fairy tale features such songs as "Do I Love You Because You're Beautiful?" and "Stepsisters' Lament." ºÚÁϳԹÏÍøtheatre department chair Dr. Don Sandley directs the production. Leslie Fillmer conducts the accompanying student orchestra.

Barbara Cline and Christina Myers share the title role, performing on alternating evenings. Murphy Maddox and Jordan Bondourant alternate as the Prince, and Samantha Chambers and Alexandra Tate share the role of Queen.

The cast also includes Katie Ostrowski as the stepmother, Emily Hoppe as the fairy godmother, Laura Smith and Jenny Wiggins as the step sisters and Paul Lance as the King. Other cast members are Amanda Allen, Bob Becklean, Sadie Frasier, Casi Harris, Cody Hayes, Sarah Chase Kee, Haley Longino, Allison Lott, Lydia Myers, Quincy Price, Hannah Seymour, Preston Sullivan, Laura Smith, Alan Taylor, Jen Taylor, Maggie Taylor and Jessica Terry.

Dancers are Erica Carr, Cody Laudrey, Erin Wert and Lisa Jane Wright.

The production is offered as a ºÚÁϳԹÏÍøTheatre for Young Audiences presentation.

Performances are in Harrison Theatre at 7:30 p.m. May 1-3 and 2:30 p.m. on May 4. Tickets are $10 adults, $8 senior adults and $6 students/children. For information and tickets check the website at www.samfordartstickets.com.

Opening night on May 1 will feature an announcement of School of the Arts as the new name for the academic unit that includes the ºÚÁϳԹÏÍøtheatre/dance department. A reception will follow the performance.
