Legacy League 100th Anniversary

Take a walk through Legacy League history and celebrate our 100th Anniversray!
Remember, Rejoce, Renew

In 1925, with the blessing of Howard College President Dr. John Dawson, 16 determined women gathered at Birmingham’s historic Tutwiler Hotel with a shared vision: to support the college through service and generous giving. One hundred years later, the ministry of the Legacy League continues to make life-changing impact.
Our 100th anniversary theme, “Remember, Rejoice, Renew,” and scripture, Psalm 100, call us to reflect with gratitude and look ahead with purpose. The psalm begins with an invitation: “Make a joyful noise to the Lord, all the earth! Serve the Lord with gladness! Come into his presence with singing!” (Psalm 100:1-2 ESV). This spirit of glad-hearted service has shaped the organization’s mission from the very beginning.
